GARRY E. VOLLANS
Senior Consultant
As a project coordinator and participant, Mr. Vollans has completed a number of projects both in Canada and abroad in the areas of energy and environmental planning, regulatory systems and program management. Mr. Vollans provides a perspective on restructuring of public organizations and regulated industrial/environmental sectors which focus on efficiency of both the regulatory process and the sector subject to regulation or overview. Within environmentally related areas, he supports client organizations in such areas as: planning and evaluation, organizational and operational reviews, alternative systems delivery analysis to support national contributions to internationally determined global emission targets, local environmental impact analyses associated with new investment projects and mitigation proposals, training and training development, and, market-based analysis methods to meet local environmental standards cost effectively.
Mr. Vollans has demonstrated both leadership and team skills with an ability to communicate and solicit cooperation from staff, colleagues and executive management. Working with constrained human and financial resources, he has created efficient internal administrative systems and business plans which meet strategic objectives via cooperation and team building. Through projects and publications, he has portrayed an ability to develop efficient systems to meet complex organizational needs with a sensitivity to conflicting policy objectives in related areas such as the environment and economic development.
